Precise orientation helps smart mines - ERICCO brings a full range of north seekers to the Taiyuan Coal (Energy) Industrial Technology and Equipment Exhibition

From April 22 to 24, 2025, the 23rd Taiyuan Coal (Energy) Industry Technology and Equipment Exhibition opened at the Shanxi Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center.

ERICCO participated in the exhibition with a full range of self-developed north seekers and IMUs at booths 618-619 in Hall S1, demonstrating to the industry the latest technological breakthroughs in the field of mine orientation.

The full range of north seekers on display this time includes MEMS north seekers and dynamic FOG north seekers, targeting the complex environment of coal mining:

Precise orientation and anti-interference ability

The product uses fiber optic gyroscope or MEMS gyroscope, which can quickly determine the true north direction in underground environments without GPS signals, strong electromagnetic and metal interference. The MEMS north-seeking accuracy reaches 0.25°secψ (1σ), far exceeding the industry average. It can output azimuth, pitch and roll angle information.

Adaptability to extreme environments

The product can maintain stable performance at extreme temperatures up to 125°C through full-range temperature compensation technology, and can withstand strong mechanical shocks, meeting the high humidity, high dust and strong vibration operation requirements of coal mines.

Each north seeker has its own characteristics, meeting various industry needs, and has passed the coal safety certification!

Extreme size: ER-MNS-04 is only 27*26*34mm in size, with strong stability and OEM customization services.
Ultra-thin design: The thinnest ER-MNS-10 is only 14mm thick, which can meet the needs of equipment with strict space requirements.
Cylindrical appearance: ER-MNS-09 adopts a cylindrical design and can perform autonomous north search. 30 seconds fast alignment, azimuth accuracy of 1°; 90 seconds precise alignment, azimuth accuracy of 0.5°.
Dynamic FOG north search: 100×100×75mm small size. Dynamic north search, accurate north search and attitude tracking under vibration; built-in shock absorber, can adapt to large shock and vibration.
